Xqmaster
Due to the installation procedure is written in Simplified Chinese
Characters,
please follow the installation guide as described below:-
Click the Installer (downloaded program).
(1) A blue window with 2 buttons in the center (let's call it
window 1) will appear,
hit the left button to go to the next
step.
(2) Another window (window 2) with 3 buttons will pop up.
Hit the
middle button to accept the file to be installed to C:\ ,
OR change the directory where ever you want.
(3) Window 3 with 3 buttons will appear, hit the middle again to
go to the next step.
(4) Window 4 with 3 buttons appear, hit the middle to confirm
your installation.
(5) Window 5 with only ONE button, hit it to finalize the
installation.
(6) Your installation is now completed.
Registration and Activation
important remind
( 1 ) One key for 3 hard disks / machines only. Activated machine IDs will be recorded in the data base.
( 2 ) Please copy and paste your key and name into the activation box, never type them in.
( 3 ) Please safeguard your key and user name, your need to use them again in future updates.
On your desktop, double click the yellow xqmaster icon, copy and paste your user name and key as the following picture shown.
Press OK to finish.
Now go back to your window desktop, double click the Xq. icon to run your xqmaster.
Set up
Now, let us help you to do your basic set up:-
[1] Click the Xqmaster Icon again on your desktop, the chess board should pops up.
[2] Click View to change the index into English.
[3] Go to Settings; √ Ponder, √ Use open book.
[4] click Level, Search time limit, put 16 ( for fast game ), or 20-to 50 ( for slow game )
[5] Search depth, put 0 ( for unlimit ).
[6] Time/game ( 10 for fast game, 20-45 for slow game )
** We don't suggest to use 'Learning' function.**
[7] Tournament...remain unchanged.
[8] (Further change of Hash, hasp etc. will cause your Xqmaster runs improperly).
Remarks
For computer with Single processor, and has Xqmaster Advanced Version installed,
please do the following steps:-
Go to My computer.....C:\xqmaster.....Cavalier RC file (right click mouse,
open it with Notepad) if there is a command called Mt2, delete it. Hit Yes or
Ok to save the change and exit.
Now, your Xqmaster is ready to go. One more advise from me...play more
with high hands. If playing with low hands with Learningsetting
checked, your xqmaster will learn from your opponents, no matter good
or bad....(otherwise, uncheck Learning).
More Hints
How to put new books in your Xqmaster?
If you have downloaded some Xq good open books, you may
want to have them added to your xq.
First, copy the new files, then go to C:\xqmaster, left
click to open it, then right click, left click to paste the
new files to replace the existing one.
Software getting weak?
[1] Frequently go to Xq program folder, delete the " Log " file; OR
[2] Save your " Key Dat file ", delete the whole program folder,
reinstall new xq, copy and paste your saved key back to the program folder.
